Extra Lecture
Beekeeping in Zambia
By Charles Ngila Bunonge

Wednesday 20 October Venue - 10a South Grove, Highgate. at 8.00 p.m.

Charles is deputy Chairman of NW Provence Beekeeping Assoc. This association forms part of 6000 beekeepers in NW Zambia who keep their bees in bark hives in the tree canopies to prevent the honey badgers from stealing their precious honey crop as well as providing the best height to gather tree nectar.

Tropical Forest products import this amazing honey  and beeswax under the fair trade mark and sell to major food retailers such as Waitrose and the Body Shop. Charles will be speaking us about this fantastic honey harvest followed by a short film shot by our rooftop members Steve J. Benbow and Jill Mead who documented this years Zambian harvest.
