public Taster Sessions

For anyone thinking about keeping bees, our two-hour ‘taster’ session will provide the opportunity to find out if beekeeping as a hobby is for you. The session will be led by experienced members of North London Beekeepers and include a ‘hands on’ session with bees and hives at our teaching apiary near Kenwood House. The taster session is an excellent way to decide whether our more involved  beginners’ course is for you.

The session includes:

  • 2-hour session introducing the beekeeping as a hobby, getting to grips with the equipment and meeting the bees

  • Use of protective beekeepers suits and all required equipment (and bees!)

  • Refreshments

  • A jar of honey from NLB apiaries

We don’t guarantee to run one every year but usually run one in September, opening up bookings in the summer. If you’d like to register you interest in attending, please do so here.
