The annual NLB honey show took place on Tuesday September 24th in our local neighbourhood of Highgate with plenty of prizes up for grabs and a feast of food to enjoy at the supper afterwards.
This years event was organised by Helen Rogers, a big thank you to Helen for all her help and hard work in getting the show on the road again. The lovely Sue Lang from Bedfordshire BKA was in attendance to judge each category ranging from best honey, wax, candles, photography and many more.

After some very careful judging the evening's prizes were awarded to our well deserved winners. Connie Smith was awarded Best Photography with a superb picture of a bee taking a drink of water. John Hauxwell picked up Best Candle with a very elegant hand dipped pair of candles and Simon Hewitt was awarded The Mrs Assheton Clegg Cup for best tasting honey.
Well done to all the entries and winners and remember if you didn’t enter this year there is always next year!
